In Your Home Furnishings is committed to making the community in which we do business a better place for all. Most of the time, this means giving to and helping those who are less fortunate. With Hickory having a large homeless population, we collect coats and other goods year-round to keep our community warm. We call this “Need a Coat, Take a Coat”. Whether it is a coat, shoes, a place to cleanup or food- we look for ways to give back.
We advocate for those in addiction and those who have loved ones who are facing such. Sometimes all they are looking for is a hand to help them up. We visit those at sober living homes in the area especially around the holidays and provide meals to those whose holidays may not consist of friends and family, but of loss and grief.
In Your Home Furnishings partners with the Salvation Army of the Greater Hickory area as we give to & provide an outlet for them to raise funds during their seasonal fundraising campaigns. This also includes The Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Hickory area. Other community organizations are, Meals on Wheels, Purple Ribbon, Safe Harbor, Caldwell House, Freedom Farms, Bethel Colony for Adult Men and Woman, Sunrise Recovery.
